Job Role & Summary
We are seeking for a passionate and experienced female Day Care Headteacher based in Gashora. She will ensure that children receive high-quality care and education in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. This role combines administrative management, educational leadership, and staff supervision to promote child development and meet regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead, plan, and coordinate all day care activities and programs.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate (3 months to 2 years of age) learning and play activities.
- Organize professional development and mentorship programs.
- Monitor children’s progress, behavior, and development.
- Ensure the physical, emotional, and cognitive needs of every child are met.
- Handle special needs or concerns with sensitivity and professionalism.
- Enforce health, nutrition, and hygiene standards.
- Oversee emergency preparedness and child protection policies.
- Work closely with parents and the community to enhance children’s development.
- Ensure high-quality early childhood education in line with national standards.
- Your assignment will be based in Gashora / Bugesera, therefore required to relocate.
Qualifications
- University degree in Early Childhood Development (ECD).
- Certificate of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
- More than 5 years of experience in managing day care program.
- Fluent in English (both spoken and written).
