    Maintenance Technician

    JOB PURPOSE:

    Under the supervision of the Operation Manager, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for coordinating maintenance operations to meet production objectives. He/she optimizes maintenance resources to minimize MTTR and maximize MTBF, while respecting Biosecurity requirements during interventions.

    The Maintenance Technician involves regular communication with internal and external suppliers and support departments, ensuring smooth workflow across all parties. He/she is also in charge of reporting maintenance performance, maintaining data records, and providing feedback to the Operation Manager. Leading a team on-site, he/she ensures that company standards and decisions are implemented effectively within his/her team.

    Contract Period: 3years

    Responsibilities:

    • Carry out strict monitoring of preventive and corrective maintenance on installations while respecting biosecurity instructions. Perform repairs, adjustments and configurations of production equipment to ensure machine productivity, product quality and safety of operators and installations.
    • Handle troubleshooting and first-level repairs on critical equipment such as generators, chillers, boilers etc.
    • Read and interpret electrical diagrams.
    • Be available on an on-call roster after working hours
    • Follow up daily performance of production equipment’s. Make a maintenance report on a regular basis addressed to Operation manager. Ensures that KPIs are optimized ensuring production continuity (MTTR, MTBF etc.)
    • Fill the administrative documentations, in line with corporate guidelines, in order to safeguard effective and controllable administrative processes.
    • Communicate and follow-up with external service providers, in accordance with corresponding services contracts. Implement maintenance budget approved by Operation Manager. Ensures adequate reporting, within the corporate guidelines.
    • Organizes and develops maintenance staffs, in order to be equipped for current and future business challenges and contribute to the optimization of business results.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electromechanical Engineering (Industrial Equipment’s, Electric, Mechanical, Automation, Plumbing, Refrigeration etc.)
    • 3-5 Years of experience
    •  Rigorous and disciplined (rigor in following procedures and safety instructions)
    •  Organization Skills
    • Registration in a engineering body is an added advantage.
    •  Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
    •  Good communication, diagnostic and analytical skills.
    •  Willing to work outside normal hours in case of emergency.
    •  Reliable, diligent and team Player.
    • Willing to relocate to Mauritius
